John H. Boehs Jr., PE

Founding Principal

 

John H. Boehs Jr. is a mechanical engineer with professional experience in the design of energy conscious buildings since 1997.  In 2015, John started Energy Conscious Properties LLC (ECP) which focuses on mechanical engineering and energy efficiency consulting for residential and small commercial buildings.  Prior to ECP, John was employed as a senior mechanical engineer with the Boston office of Arup and responsible for HVAC design, building physics, annual energy modeling and LEED credit documentation. Representative projects include: the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science Complex, the University of Virginia Studio Art Building (Ruffin Hall), the Portland Art Museum (North Wing) and the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture.  John has been a faculty member of the Sustainable Design Institute at the Boston Architectural College since 2009.
